To navigate straight to the Photoshop Elements Editor or Organizer without viewing the Welcome Screen, follow the directions below.
1. Change what the Welcome Screen desktop shortcut launches.
The Welcome Screen includes options on whether to launch Elements Editor, Organizer, or the Welcome Screen
Click the settings button (gear icon) in the upper-right corner of the Welcome Screen.
Choose one of the following options:
- Welcome Screen
- Organizer
- Photo Editor
Note: Photoshop Elements 10 has a button that says 'Settings' instead of the Gear icon above. Versions of Photoshop Elements before version 10 have the following icon instead of the word 'Settings':
2. Create desktop shortcuts for the Editor and Organizer (Windows only).

- Right-click the Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor icon that appears on the dock. If your mouse does not have right-click capabilities, click and hold the icon until the menu appears.
- Double-click Adobe Elements [Version] Organizer.app to launch the Organizer.
- Right-click the Adobe Elements Organizer icon that appears on the dock. If your mouse does not have right-click capabilities, click and hold the icon until the menu appears.
